Understanding Roles and Permissions

Fileroom uses a role-based permission structure for you to control access to your files and information. You set the role when the user is invited, and it can be changed at any time by an Administrator or Owner.

Fileroom uses a role-based permission structure for you to control access to your files and information. You set the role when the user is invited, and it can be changed at any time by an Administrator or Owner.
 
The table below describes the roles available and the level of access they provide.

  •  Administrators. Can manage your team members, invite new users, create, review and approve jobs in your account, edit your brand room, access and download your files, manage subscriptions and billing for your account.
  • Approvers. Can create files, mark-up edits and make review comments on documents and videos in all or specific projects. An approver can also approve jobs and download files from your delivery box and brand room.
  • Collaborators. Can mark-up edits and make review comments on all or specific projects and videos in your account.
  • Reviewers. Can view and make review comments on all or specific projects, documents and videos during the review process for active job orders.
  • Downloaders. Can access and download master files from your brand room. A downloader can also download delivered jobs from your delivery box.

In addition to the roles above, you can give users access to all projects or specific projects in your account.

You can change roles and permissions easily and at any time on the invite your team page which is accessible from your fileroom dashboard.
